Hi - there always seems to be cats roaming Chelsea and they get into my yard. This one doesn't appear to be fixed as it has sprayed all over my yard this fowl smell. He won't leave and is hissing at my dogs scaring them. This one has a collar.

I’ve really tried figuring out what the heck has been going on these last months. I’m positive the booming explosions that go off multiple times a week in the midddle of the night are NOT fireworks. I have lived here my entire life and I know my neighborhood very well. I know fireworks, loud and really loud. They’re common to this area and are expected during warm weather, but this has never ever once been an issue at all. I have had to call the station and report it twice now because it’s that abmormal and absolutely terrifying, and I want to at least have it documented in some way. I have always felt safe here, but these booms seriously send chills throughout my body and trigger such bad anxiety. I have never had problems managing my mental health issues in my entire life here, and this should not be happening. I really do hope that the residents in this area who have been aware of this happening get some answers soon about this. I shouldn’t feel like I’m in a war zone at my house when I’m not in the military, nor have I ever been. I can’t believe that no one knows what it is or that it’s been written off as “fireworks”? Or noise from the rt 1 construction site. I know both extremely well, and I think so does everyone else.

Ongoing construction does not comply with COVID 19 precautions. Multiple workers in close quarters, often without masks.

Siding being removed has lead paint and is not being removed with any safety precautions or disposed of properly.

Can someone please address the condition of this job site and the manner in which the work is being done?

The utility poles in this area are leaning quite a bit. Can you have them come and check it out before the lean gets even worse?

Due to rapidly changing circumstances, the City Manager has made the difficult decision to close to the public City Hall, the Library and the Sr. Center for an indefinite period, but at least until Mon. Mar. 30.

Despite this situation, the City is still committed to delivering certain core services. But, only critical staff will remain on site. Most employees will be working from home. Buildings will be closed to the public effective immediately.

We encourage residents to interact with the City by mail or on-line. We also encourage the use of our 3-1-1 phone line during previous business hours.
    Extension of Deadlines
All renewals periods for parking permits and parking stickers are extended until June 1, 2020. Renewals for all current dog tags expiring on March 31st and April 30 have been extended until June 1st.

All parking ticket appeals must be submitted in writing by mail, online, or dropped off in the green mailbox outside of City Hall on Washington Avenue. To accommodate this change, the appeal period for all tickets issued on or after March 1st will be extended by thirty (30) days. No appeals will be accepted in person at City Hall for any reason.

The City will extend the date for payment of excise tax bills due on March 25, 2020. Those bills will now be due no later than April 28, 2020. No interest shall accrue during this extension period.

Can someone please do something about the fireworks? It's every night and our houses are top close together to be lighting off fireworks on a small cul-de-sac. It's not only a fire hazard but it is illegal.
