Good evening Mr. Trantalis, Mr. Wyman and Mr. Eakins-Durand,
I am attaching just 2 photos to bring to your attention the work carried out by the Waste Management company in our streets.
in Chula Vista, Fort Lauderdale. After you gents observe the photos, I am expressing my concern about the environment.
and property value of our homes. You are lucky the photos do not reveal the terrible stench of the line closer to the swale.
And there is more, the vehicle drivers will not pick the recyclables if you put them in bags. I do that, so they do not end up all over the street, which is what happens in the other houses.
I flew for a cargo airline that contracted with The Department of Defense worldwide, do you know one thing the Third World countries have in common?
Trash everywhere and nobody picks it up,
which leads to spreading diseases in countries with less than one doctor per 1000 habitants and life expectancy is 60 years old or less. The CIA has great facts on their website.
When I retire, I might not stay here, and I lived in Fort Lauderdale 32 years.
The swales in front of the properties are disrespected by vehicles is a vicious circle.
I am surrounded by homeowners that do not pick up the trash in their yards, that lowers the quantity of interested buyers and value of our homes, which property taxes keep going up in our working-class area little homes.I know you want to bring the future to Fort Lauderdale. I wish I was part of that team.
The waste management trucks need a new design on their robotic arm which crunches the receptacles, that is an expense to the city. What about training their employees better?Thank you for your attention,
Jesse Ramos
