This is also on SF Bicycle Route 69, which is the mid-Richmond access route between GGP and the Presidio for bicycles. The lack of traffic control or calming in this stretch makes this a difficult intersection to cross, particularly during commute times. Vehicles traveling on California can see the lights at Park Presidio boulevard and often will speed to make a green light.
Additionally, there is a pre-school and religious school right off this corner (Horwitz Family Education Center).
