Description

Major traffic pile ups happen multiple times a day due to improper signage at the right turn of South Swan Street to South Mall Arterial. There are two continuous lanes, but individuals turning from South Swan incorrectly stop and yield for traffic to clear before continuing. There are two continuous lanes, and no indications to yield or stop. If there was signage indicating there are two continuous lanes and that is merely a sharp turn, coupled with repainting of the road indicating the division of the lanes until after the turn, it would cause traffic to flow more freely. It can be difficult to get out of the neighborhood (Hudson/Park) in times of need and really could be a problem for emergency services, as well. I have called city hall about this and been given the run around and hope you can help! I think it would greatly benefit the ward’s residents.
