A reso is a nice temperature taker, but residents of Albany do not need another toothless reso. We need legislation and enforcement. I know it’s not as straightforward as that. But less start with being realistic about acknowledging the destructive behaviors. We’re not going to cure poverty, abuse, mental illness, and addiction with a magic bullet or ten. We need laws and policies that play both the short and long game. A relatively small group of bullying, fanatical ideologues shouldn’t stand in the way of that.

Romero has a record of votingg against all public safety resolutions because she hatès the police. Instead of looking out for constituent’s best interests, she’s busy putting national culture wars BS ahead of legitimate local issues that are destroying our neighborhoods.

The more chaos….the more dependency on government….the more D’s stay in power. That’s the formula they’ve been using for over 100 yrs in Albany.

Romero and her ilk are awful, in general but most of all for this area. She can’t be voted out fast enough.

The city sent a court order to my landlord cause of the picnic tables that we agreed to get rid of. They said we could have until the end of the year. Code Enforcement goes out of their way to make business owners lives miserable. The vacancies are only going to pile up. Fix the vibe Sheehan. Make Albany a nice and actually fun place to be!!!!!!

Yall keep votingh for people who prioritize national culture wars BS instead of looking out for the good of our little neighborhoods 🤷‍♂️. We need policing and harsh penalties for crime so people will think twice before misbehaving. The person representing us despises policing and this sends a very clear message to the bad actors that they are welcome and protected in our neighborhood.

Round them up and lock them up until they can be trusted to behave like human beings in society. These people vandalize property, poop on our stoops, steal our packages, leave needles everywhere, harass us for money….all with Zero consequences. Businesses are packing up and leaving, tax payers are moving to safer neighborhoods.

The mayor says they cant be charged with a crime because they have no legal address to send the court summons to. Excuses.

If they just responded to calls and arrested them at the time there would be no need for addresses. It ain’t rocket science…

This has become the norm on Lark and in Center Square. The perp can’t be arrested bc they have no legal address? That’s outrageous. Remember- W6 C Council Member Romero is a public defender. She’s silent on such things.

It took police over 20 minutes to arrive.

Detectives haven't started the work on this yet as of this afternoon. I already did it for them through social media yesterday. Looks like the dude could be a potential threat to customers and staff. Until police act we will remain closed. Please do something Albany Police and Mayor Sheehan.

I have the guys name and info and photo and video of him doing the crime. This shouldn't be difficult to take care of. Call me you have my number. Don't let us down.

Even if caught the individual will be back out on the street faster than it takes to make a cup of coffee.

So if one of these people kill someone, they won’t be arrested for murder because they don’t have an address?

Pint Sized, you should talk to Dino's Pizza at the corner of Lark and Madison, they had a guy who broke in twice, broke out a window and employees feel unsafe. It just might be the same person and you could join forces to get action. What's happening on Lark, Madison and in Washington Park is inexcusable and the 6th Ward Councilperson continues to vote against reality, common sense and constituents. The neighborhood won't survive two more years of this.

Someone should call for a recall of the common council person as I believe a vote of no confidence is in order.
