Maybe people should slow down so they don't lose control and fly into the river. Why does society have to spend billions to protect people from themselves?

The city just put a concrete barrier here instead of fixing the more active wooden barrier or fixing the fence. This is not an acceptable solution as it looks like an area of urban blight that takes away from a stretch that is otherwise attractive.

The railing was finally fixed. But the ugly Jersey barrier is still there. I will close the ticket anyway. Maybe in the spring, artistic neighbors can get together and paint the concrete barrier with a river scene.
