Description

CATS vehicles, both buses and vans are traveling WELL above the posted speed limits in the "Bus Lanes" of Independence Freeway. I've personally called CATS on numerous days with specific bus numbers, driver descriptions and it typically goes unanswered. I personally called the State DOT to inquire about the speed limits and did they apply to the enclosed "Bus Lanes". The answer was yes they do! I think this would make a great Investigative Report by WBTV clocking thoss vehicles.

Or better yet have them video the regular cars that travel in those lanes!!! I have witnessed this myself several mornings seeing regular cars not police cars or CATS vehicles I am talking about citizens using these lanes! I know I cannot be the only one to have seen this happen! There should be a gate card swipe or scanner to enter this lane or better yet, make this an HOV lane to ease traffic flow of Independence Blvd. ALSO CMS SCHOOL BUSES SHOULD BE MADE TO USE THESE LANES TO EASE TRAFFIC FLOW AS WELL!!!!!!!!!
