Description

The City of Alameda has created an access and hazard for pedestrians at this location. This corner was designed with bollards to protect pedestrians from vehicles cutting the corner. The City of Alameda has moved these bollards from their original location to one that is directly in the path of the disabled. The bollards are in the protected path that is to be used by those with disabilities. I have pointed this out before, but no one from the City of Alameda has responded. Clearly stated: The City of Alameda has created a barrier and hazard for the disabled where one did not previously exist. The solution is to return the bollards to the position for which they were originally designed. Could the manager in charge please respond? I hope that the urgency of this matter is apparent.
