Description
The pedestrian traffic light remains "green/Walk" to cross Hollywood Avenue despite that the motor vehicle delayed traffic signal turns "green" for Hollywood Ave traffic.
This pedestrian traffic light is by the school in Lloyd Rd.
I have noticed this problem since these traffic lights were installed about 2 years ago.

No action. The pedestrian light to cross Hollywood Ave is in the "Walk" mode at the same time as the motor vehicle light is green for vehicles traveling east on Hollywood Avenue entering Rt 17 S.
(A CAR CAN HIT A PEDESTRIAN IF BOTH OBEY THE SIGNAL!!!)
School is out but this situation should be addresses. Maybe the pedestrian signal should just be removed? After all no signal is better than a false signal.

The van in the picture is driving through a green light. The pedestrian signal is displaying "walk".
Many children nowadays listen to music or talk on the telephone while walking. One of these children may just look up at the pedestrian signal, see "walk" and step into the intersection. Hopefully a vehicle will not be there.
This faulty signal is about 500 feet from the school.
This pedestrian signal should be removed or fixed!

Most pedestrians crossing this intersection are grammer school children. Likewise, 99+% of the vehicles crossing that intersection are using it as an on ramp for Rt 17. With both the vehicle traffic signal "green" and the pedestrian signal "green" it is a matter of time...
PLEASE REMOVE THIS FAULTY PEDESTRIAN SIGNAL!!!

First day of school. Let us hope that no child decides to cross this street when the pedestrian light turns "green". This is a real tragedy in the making!!!
Someone should remove the pedestrian light - it is better to haveno signal than a false signal.
