Either D&R General Contracting or Newport Construction Corporation will be Awarded the $400,000 Contract.

Newport Construction Corporation will Begin Work in June 2010 to Replace Water Services and Roadway Excavation and Paving will Follow Soon After that.

Newport Construction Corporation is Currently working on Roadway Excavation & Grading along with Water Services. This Work will Continue for the Next 2 Weeks. 1st Lift of Asphalt Expected to be Layed by End of June.

Construction for Week of 6/7 - 6/11: Water Service Installation & Storm Drainage Installation.

Construction for Week of 6/14 - 6/18: Water Service Installation & Storm Drainage Installation, Roadway Removal on Locke Street, Grading & First Phase of Binder Asphalt Paving.

First Course of Asphalt Paving Will Begin on Tuesday June 22nd. Work will be done Between Belmont Street & Bellevue Road. Work will Begin at 9AM & the Road will be Reopened around 4PM.

Paving of First Course is Now 90% Complete from Belmont Street to Bellevue Road. Sidewalk Construction is Now ongoing With New Granite Curbing Installation to Begin at Bellevue Road on Friday June 25th. Water Service Installation ongoing Near Orchard Street. Final Grading & First Course of Paving Bewteen Bellevue Road & Orchard Street Expected to Begin Next Week. The Road will be Closed Mon - Fri 7:30AM to 4PM.
