Boy, that is so out of line. Who do these valet guys think they are neither they nor AMC has dibs on the parking spaces on the north side of Morris, but they regularly think they do. The valet has done that with my car twice when I needed to go to the physician's office in that building. I stopped bothering with valet as being more of a rip-off. What are resident's to do. Should we call APD for being hassled?

These spaces are marked and posted as resident parking just because they put up sign that says valet only should not make it so. They are slso lazy and do not move cars to lot and use other residential parking spots

It is a city issue when someone makes commercial use of city property and tries to exclude residents.

I would contact AMC and the Albany Parking Authority. This is way out of line behavior.

Yeah but the city doesn’t employ Albany med valet and the most they can do is tell them to move double parked cars or worse tow people’s cars who think they’ve left them with a valet - many of whom are pregnant women going to their doctors.

There is no apparent authority for the AMC valet service to occupy the public right of way nor to tell citizens they cannot park on a city street where the signs indicate that public parking is allowed.

The issue was not resolved. It continues still. The city of Albany just did nothing to address it since 2018 and thinks it can now write that the issue was resolved and close it and no one will notice. We notice the lack of response and resolution EVERY SINGLE TIME. Youi fool no one, but yourselves.

This issue is not resolved. The Valet Park continues to use on street parking spaces. The Albany Med is disingenuous in they failure to use their own resources for this parking service. Yes, we do notice!

3 years and no actio. One of the valets parks a black charger (challenger) in those spots everyday he works.

Exactly! They are using desperately needed residential spaces, that RESIDENTS have paid permits for and are unable to use while valets illegally park their own vehicles there all day and use residential spaces for valet parking after Albany Med leadership promised they would use their own parking lots and garages only. Who made this deal with them against residents, in violation of the residential permit system, in violation of parking enforcement (and where is parking enforcement) and when the city is already suffering due to all the places, like Albany Med, who do not pay taxes? Now tax payers are losing our paid permit spots, and being harassed in the process, while this nonsense continues and valets park their own cars there. Wake up Albany and do something, Matt Peter, Common Council, and others.

This keeps getting closed but never gets addressed. The valet often puts cones in spaces. The employees seem to legitimately believe they are private spaces even though clearly marked resident parking. Albany parking enforcement should be aggressive in this area and periodic reminders to employees that these are public resident parking spaces
