Apparently there is an issue with petty people in the Parks Department who don't want to do their job of emptyiong the trash cans at Branford Point, so the Town Fathers decided to take them out!
HOW STUPID!
Put back the trash cans at Branford Point and do your job and empty them!

It's not a state park. The statute cited on the sign is imcorrect, anyway, and does not apply.
The town can spend several thousand dollarsfor a new scooter and a @#$% looking kid to putt putt around on it, why the heck can't they empty a couple trash cans? Is it really that hard? Geez. I'm sure the trash cans in your office get emptied. Why not take care of us Branford residents as well as you have your staff take care of you?
So, are they going to remove the rest of the trash cans in Parker park, on the town green and elsewhere around town?
The Point needs trash cans. Put them back!

Well, it looks like some temporary cans have been returned.
Seems as though when the town's First Selectman had an ice cream party and found no trash cans there, they were promptly returned to the dock.
WOW. Small town politics are funny.
