I love the sound of roosters crowing in the morning.

The crowing is not the problem. These roosters get loose from their cages regularly and are in othet yards, crossing the street, at risk of getting hit by cars or
injured by teasing youths. This is a matter ox
the roosters care and safety as much as
pedestrian concern.

Roosters loose in the neighborhood and even crossing the street. Roosters are being housed in a backyard coop at 58 Truman Street. The City of New Haven has an ordinace making it illegal to keep roosters. Is this a matter for Livable Cities Initiative or Animal Control?

Roosters are pretty much only kept for cockfighting purposes, so the police, Humane Society, ASPCA and Animal Control should all be notified.
