Albany Resident (for now)

Over a day has passed since the end of the weekend snowstorm, but this house remains the ONLY one on this block of Morris Street that has not yet shoveled their front steps! It's one thing that they don't maintain their lawn in the summer, but this affects issue other people... e.g. the mailman, Door Dash folks, etc. There are young people that live here but they are LAZY. They should get off their seats for a few minutes and take care of their steps. (the only reason their sidewalk is clear is because someone else snowblowed all the sidewalks for the entire block).

Ordinarily, I wouldn't care about political signs on Albany city property; however, there's one person on SeeClickFix that always complains if an opposing sign from the elephant party is placed on city property, so it's only fair to submit a ticket for this sign from the establishment donkey party. Fair is fair. City property should never be used for partisan political signs. Please remove this immediately. Thank you.

ONCE AGAIN, the folks living at 23 South Main Avenue are leaving their trash bins out by the street... they just place their full trash bags inside and walk away. These bins have been there EVERY DAY for three weeks now! The renters never take them in after trash collection. These folks are just plain lazy! People walking by sometimes rummage through the bins for bottles and cans, and sometimes trash falls out onto the street and the wind blows it onto our lawns. I've talked to the property owners about this issue in the past, and I don't think they care as long as they're getting their rent money. Will the city actually do something about this matter this time??? Please contact the owners and demand that they speak to their renters about following city codes!

The owners of 9 South Main Avenue have hosted back yard concerts this summer with lots of attendees... there's one going on as I type this. The neighbors are being imposed upon. The music is VERY LOUD and VERY ANNOYING. I just called the police to see if the owners have a permit to hold this concert.... they couldn't confirm. I asked them to check it out... they said they're pretty tied up and it could take a while. Translation: nothing will happen. Why does the city allow this to happen? Why does the city have laws like noise ordinances and not enforce them? Why does the whole neighborhood have to suffer? Please speak to the owners and let them know they're imposing on their neighbors! Enough is enough!

The folks at 23 SOUTH MAIN are at it again with more code violations!!! For a few weeks, they have been piling up trash bags right next to my house, all of which have been torn open by rodents and birds... the trash gets scattered by these vermin and by the wind, going all over my and the neighbors' lawns!!! Attached is a small sample of this disgusting mess. These people are SERIAL VIOLATORS... this happens ALL THE TIME, and the neighborhood is sick of it! Also, they have three "County Waste" garbage bins that they leave by the sidewalk for weeks on end and just keep adding more and more garbage until the bins overflow... currently, they have been there for over 4 weeks. They never call County Waste for collection. I keep submitting tickets to the City of Albany for these issues but they keep happening. When will the City of Albany finally crack down on the owners??? They must be held accountable for their trashy tenants.

The lawn in the back yard of 23 South Main Ave has NOT BEEN MOWED AT ALL this year... it looks like a jungle! It's an eyesore! It's more weeds than grass, and the dandelion seeds are flying onto everyone else's lawns. I don't know how the property owners of this place get away with so many code violations! The City of Albany really needs to get on these guys to maintain their property on a regular basis!!!
