To the moderator, this is not Beaver Hills, it is Newhallville

It was brought to my attention that NHPD was notified on this issue though, a patrolman has yet to be seen during the times reported when the nuisance regularly occurs.

So why not try to fix the real problem by creating a safe place for them to ride? Just like West Haven did for the skate boarders. I know with a little support and work from the community this can be a winning issue for all.

This has been reported to the police. The members of this ATV gang blocked off traffic to the intersection of Cherry Ann St and Bowen/Sherman Ave. today. Members are wearing masks and coordinating their communication through cell phones. Please take action!

That's really scary, Green Sounds Good. But let it not allow us to live in fear, and give in to these lowlifes. Thank you for reporting it to the police, as well as posting it here. We all need to be aware of what is going on, in all areas of the city.

I will be closing dirt bike/ATV complaints that pre-date the conclusion of the police undercover operation (see www.newhavenindependent.org/index.php/archives/entry/9_arrested_in_dirt_bike_sting/). I do not expect the dirt bike/ATV issue to be completely solved, but it will be helpful to policing efforts to distinguish new reports from those before this recent operation.

Please open up new SCF issues as dirt bike/ATV issues re-occur.
