Vallejo Mayor, City Council, City Manager, Police Department: you have brought shame on us all!

If they are starting on the North end of town and working South, I'm pretty sure they haven't reached this location yet. Perhaps they should clean them in order of size and proximity to residences. Either way it's been an unacceptable response from both the City & CNR R.R.
Letting this go for so long brought us to this point of a ridiculous situation. How much have CNR spent on this project? I will try the contact number for CNR and ask. How much time and money has the City spent on this? I would call and ask but feel they would have no idea. As with the new "aggressive illegal dumping program", so far, how many have been prosecuted and who has collected half the fine as a reward? Going to give it a chance for a month or two and will follow up to see if real progress is made.

Certainly agree that if you called the city they would have no idea.

Called and emailed the two contacts for CNR, and asked for a projected timeline of completion and how much this clean up is costing them. Will be asking the City Manager the same, but that's going to take a walk in visit to City Hall. Then maybe we can compare costs of prevention and enforcement -vs- after the fact clean up.

Thank you for reporting! The railroad company is currently working with the Code Enforcement/Community Services Division on determining a more permanent solution to this ongoing issue. At the beginning of the month, the railroad company commenced with cleaning up its tracks within city limits. The tracks will be cleaned up in sections, starting with the spur at Lewis Brown Drive. SeeClickFix is one of the many tools available to the citizens of Vallejo to report non-emergency issues. We “close” an issue in SeeClickFix once we've acknowledged the complaint; however, this issue is not "Closed" per se; it will remain an "Open" case with us until it is corrected.
