Dear Constituent:

The Pima County Board of Supervisors and the Pima County Department of Transportation (PCDOT) has identified $36 million for a road repair program for this fiscal year (July 1, 2019 - June 30, 2020). Approximately 67 miles of arterials/collectors and 70 miles of local roads will be repaired as part of the pavement preservation program.

Gardner Lane from Romero Road to Runway Drive is not included in the pavement repair program for this fiscal year. However, PCDOT has funded a 10-year pavement repair plan to repair all roads in unincorporated Pima County.

The 10-year road repair plan is funded by the Department of Transportation’s Highway User Revenue Funding and Pay-As-You-Go funds allocated from the County’s general fund that were approved by the Board of Supervisors on November 5, 2019. The Pima County Transportation Advisory Committee (PCTAC) has approved roadway criteria for prioritization for Fiscal Year 2020/2021. The road repair plan for Fiscal Year 2020/2021 will be established by March of 2020.
