This is in front of a business called Copart on 282 Fifth street.

Both sides is the street are full of large vehicles, Motorhomes, trucks, and even a large abandoned trailer that has been parked for weeks. It is very dangerous driving down the street! We need all of these vehicles removed.

I agree. The campers are taking up the roadway making it difficult for the long trailer trucks entering and leaving Copart. Traffic gets blocked. The police need to get on top of this mess.

In our once serene neighborhood, a menacing fleet comprising more than five RVs, a trailer, and six passenger vehicles has laid claim to our streets, arrogantly taking over sidewalks, tapping hydrants for water, and carelessly discharging sewage into our gutters. This invasion has stripped us of access to our cherished public spaces, like the sidewalks and Lake Dalwigk Park. Our surroundings have transformed into a breeding ground for illicit activities, plagued by discarded drug paraphernalia, tainted by excrement, and overwhelmed by unsightly piles of trash. The ceaseless, deafening noise of gas-powered electric generators mercilessly infiltrates our outdoor sanctuaries, often surpassing 120 decibels and violating permissible hours. To compound matters, a substantial portion of these vehicles remains unregistered, openly flouting parking regulations. Disturbing reports of prostitution have emerged, prompting our beleaguered Police Department to launch investigations into theft and burglary within our community. We urgently implore you to intervene and remedy this dire situation, as most residents along this segment of 5th Street are rendered powerless in the face of these issues. Why must we endure lives overshadowed by fear and insecurity? Why must we bear the burdens of taxation without enjoying the corresponding benefits? We plead for representation and the assistance of those who genuinely empathize with our plight.

5th St has storm drains that feed into a Channelized/Piped Creek. Keith Lichten of The State environmental agency might be interested in the removal of homeless.

I find it appalling that a group of people are going out of their way to scare those of us in the campers/RVs by driving by and screaming obscenities, throwing objects and trash at our RVs and vehicles, firing guns in the late hours startling us in our sleep, dumping stuff around our RVs and on Coparts lawn trying to sabotage us while we are minding our own business. It is not the Homeless that are causing the problems, it's the entitled home owners creating a lot of the @#$% for us RV owners who are just trying to survive and be left alone. If you want us gone, find a place for us to go, stop harassing us please, we don't cause problems for the neighbors, we stay to ourselves. The.city has a lot of open land not being used, open those spaces up for us living in RVs and we will be happy to move somewhere else.

They are blocking the homeless from rebutting the complaints being made. Thanks a lot.

People who have homes are aggressively harassing the people in the RVs. They are driving by throwing objects and trash at their vehicles, dumping stuff on coparts lawn and on street by RVs, and yelling obscenities at all hours of the day. The people living in these RVs are scared and just want to be left alone. They are not causing any real problems unless you consider an "eye sore" an actual problem. They can't help the fact that RVs are ugly.

I find that hard to believe. We the homeowners are afraid and hesitant to walk or drive in that area. Don’t play the victim. Keep your area clean, don’t pollute our waterways, keep decent hours and respect our neighborhood. Thank you!

If you homeless folks living in vehicles lining our streets want to be respected then you should be respecting the property owners. Police yourselves. Keep the areas clean and sanitary. Don't block the sidewalks. It's no different for you than for folks who live in houses. They have to respect their neighbors and not trash up their neighborhoods. So take a hint and be at peace.

Those are all reasonable requests. We will do better at keeping our areas clean and absent of garbage, and I would be livid to see anyone dumping their waste water out anywhere but an approved dumping site. (Vallejo Water has a dumping site very close to 5th st.) At the end of the day, we are still human beings, don't be afraid to walk up to us and address us civilly about any concerns you have about us or our living spaces. We would appreciate that a lot.

No one wants civil war on our streets. We live in a country that's guided by basic human rights and justice. It doesn't work if responsibility is not taken by all. Good luck.
