The City of Oakland is not thinking about this AT ALL. They go to sleep in neighborhoods far removed from here and content in the knowledge much of the mentally ill and addicted are in their own little kingdom St Andrews Plaza. We had a fatal shooting right next to this park last Friday night, a 21-year-old African American male. That doesn't even make any impact on cleaning up this neglected trash heap. And where are the protesters about this killing?

Right now the city wants some fancy condos. They need to start fixing the problems already here, like the homeless. Where is Ms McElhaney? Does she not care about her district, if not step down and find someone who does.
