This stop at the intersection of Front and East Pearl Streets needs to be better marked. Approaching from the east, the stop line on the pavement has been worn away to invisibility and there is no "STOP" stenciled on the pavement. The intersection is around a curve and the stop sign is obscured by other street signs. A blinking red light would be the optimal solution, but at the very least the faults noted above could be corrected.

We lived right around the corner from the spot. Policemen would sometimes camp out in the parking lot and give tickets, knowing it was an easy stop sign to run or not notice.
There is a spot in Ansonia if you're coming from New Haven, right off of 243. Elm St. It's a hill, and in a residential area. The police park at the bottom of the hill with a radar gun and ticket people for going 30mph (5mph over the speed limit) They sit there all day making money.
It's sad that police men recognize areas with poor signage and choose to capitalize on those areas by doling out tickets and punishments to typically safe drivers.
