The intersection here at York and Cannon always makes me nervous regardless of which street I'm on. If I'm on Cannon headed south I'm afraid someone will pull right in front of me because they can't see around the higher vehicles parked on the street. If I'm on York trying to cross or turn onto Cannon, I cautiously sit and wait because I can't see through the big suvs - and still there are some close calls. I think if drivers would slow down, and residents with bigger cars would maybe park on York instead of Cannon, this would be alot safer for everyone. I don't know why the Lansdale Police don't stop people for speeding here, I would guess that they don't have the manpower to stop hundreds of speeding cars every day - but if they did sit a car here just once or twice a month it would make a big difference.

I don't think it's just Cannon that is the issue, it's all throughout this neighborhood. We live in this area and there are countless people going at least 40 mph at all times of the day. These roads only really allow for 1 car to safely drive down the lane yet these speeders don't care! Plus there are so many kids living here that the police really should be doing domething to get rid of the speeders. Most people know they can cut down our streets because they won't get cught going above the speed limit because the Landsale police don't even care!

It will never happen. The police have bigger concerns "supposedly" then chase down speeder on Canon. As far as bigger cars go, parking in front of their houses might not be an option. Could it be the dynamics of the neighborhood and where other houses park be an issue?
