Is there an individual or Department that I need to follow up with that can address this issue?

This segment is on the City's street light request list, as funds become available street lights are added to PG & E poles (not on transmission lines) or projects created to install new street lights.

I will check with our Maintenance staff to see if any funding was provided for the next fiscal year and if there are any remaining funds from last/current year.

There are currently no funds remaining in the street light installation program.

You can comment to the council that you would like the program to be funded in the next fiscal year, as they approve the budgets for all departments.

That is ridiculous. It is so dangerous and contributes to the crime in the area. This needs to be prioritized and I don’t know why it is on the citizens to request the funds as opposed to you a city employee who has been made aware of the issue.

I agree with the last comment. Just to add to it, it's very dangerous when children are being picked up at Loma Vista School after school programs. It is pitch black and the staff is using flashlight. From around 4:30 to 6:00 . If the City and the School Distirict don't see this as an issue. Our City has a problem and our children are on trouble.
