Descrição

The trash on this block quite often is in grocery store tie bags, which means trash all over the streets. Has the clean committee thought of any solutions for this problem? Because I would really like to work on making this area cleaner.

So would we! If you'd be up for getting the block together to help clean on a Saturday or Sunday, we'd be happy to help supply gloves, bags, brooms, and a few extra hands. Another option is to nominate a block captain -- officially, they're the only ones who can keep a trash can out on the street that won't get ticketed by the Streets Dept. sanitation inspectors, as long as they set it out regularly for pickup and keep the area around it clean.

I'm also a neighbor on the 1500 block of Moore. This issue involves rental properties on both sides of Mole. 1516 Moore consistently has trash out well before pick-up. The tenants use the grocery store bags that become loose garbage.The other side of the block, including the alley that opens to Moore, always has rotting trash in or around it.

Of note, we have reported with 311. They indicated it is very difficult for SWEEP to staff the correct timing of being able to ticket this issue.
